Dr Mark Goodrich's clinical background and specialist training spans almost twenty years and as a Specialist Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon, he has performed over 15,000 eye surgeries and more than 3,000 reconstructive plastic surgeries on eye lids. These surgeries include: Cataract surgery, Pterygium surgery, Blepharoplasty (removal of excess skin in the eyelids), Ectropion repair (to fix outward turning eyelids), brow ptosis surgery ( to fix drooping brows) and removal of skin cancers and lesions.
Dr Goodrich also manages eye conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy and administers laser treatments and eye injections to treat these conditions. He oversees regular screening and monitoring of these condtions through Visual Field testing and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scanning.
He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science (MBBS) in 1989 and has been a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) since 1999.
