Baringa Private Hospital is nestled in the foothills of the mountains west of Coffs Harbour, situated on the corner of Bray Street and Mackays Road. Baringa is a 81 bed hospital offering a range of services including Surgical, Medical, Obstetrics, Rehabilitation & a Day Procedure Unit.
We provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and provide patients with a personal service most suited to your needs in an atmosphere close to that of home
FOR YOUR COMFORT & CONVENIENCE
Call Button
Should you require anything at anytime, please do not hesitate to call the nursing staff via the nurse call button located in the bedside handset, they will assist you as soon as possible.
Meals
All our meals are cooked fresh on site by first class Chef’s, the menu provides a wide variety of choice each day. You will be given a menu daily from which to make your selection.
Mobile Phones
When you are admitted please ask our staff if mobiles can be used in your room. Mobiles may be used in all public areas including the coffee shop. Baringa Private Hospital does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your mobile phone.
Pastoral Care
Our Pastoral Care Associates are available to provide support to you and your family if you choose.
Parking
Long term parking is available on site, as well as a undercover set down point right in front of reception.
Personal Laundry
We do not provide a service for personal laundry, we encourage your family or friends to organise this for you.
Pharmacy
Medications are provided by a privately owned and operated pharmacy. Please notify staff prior to your admission if you hold any entitlement cards, which may reduce Pharmacy costs e.g. Pension, Health Care, Veteran’s Affairs or Senior Card. Please bring these with you when you come for admission.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted within the hospital.
Telephones
Telephones are provided at the bedside of each patient and are direct-dial for local & STD calls. If you require to ring overseas or mobile phone numbers, just dial 9 to connect to the switchboard and this can be arranged for you. Local calls are free and all other calls are charged to your account.
Television
Individual televisions are provided free-of-charge. A single handset by your bed allows you select any of the local television stations. In-house movies are also shown every day.
Visiting Hours
Visitors are welcome. Unrestricted visiting applies between 9am to 1pm, and 3pm to 7pm daily. Children are very welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Bed Allocation
We have a range of accommodation including:
- Private rooms with own ensuite
- Private shared rooms (shared ensuite)
- Two bed room with a shared ensuite
- Special Care Unit
All our accommodation is classified as private, and it is our aim to accommodate you as comfortably as possible. Single room allocation is based on Clinical need as determined by the Nurse Unit Manager.
* Please note we are currently updating our private shared accommodation to private rooms with own ensuite.
ACCOMMODATION FOR RELATIVES
There is no available accommodation within the grounds, however there are a number of accommodation options for relatives close to the hospital, please telephone the hospital on (02) 6659 4444.
