Michael is a General Surgeon, who works both at Baringa Private Hospital & Ramsay Surgical Centre.
Graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Medicine, he then trained at Westmead, Nepean and Royal North Shore Hospitals culminating in a Fellowship in General Surgery and CCRTGE-accreditation for gastroscopy & colonoscopy. During this period he developed an affinity for rural practice with the hopes of bringing tertiary centre expertise to regional communities.
In 2021, Michael had the privilege of training with the world-class Surgical Oncology unit at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick. Here he developed skills in soft tissue sarcoma, endocrine, breast and head & neck surgery as the Endocrine and Surgical Oncology Fellow.
He commenced as a Staff Specialist General Surgeon with the Coffs Clinical Network in March 2022 and is the Phase 3 Academic Lead for Surgery at UNSW Coffs Rural Clinical School.
Michael is pleased to now offer patients in the Coffs Harbour and surrounding region a unique private practice service offering contemporary surgical oncology, minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy including colorectal EMR with the valued support from Ramsay Health Care.
He will be seeing patients at Coffs ENT and welcomes referrals via email and fax.
