Dr Samuel Eather is a consultant cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist at Coffs Cardiology and the Coffs Harbour Health Campus and is very excited to be joining the comprehensive cardiology service at the Baringa Private Hospital.
Dr Eather has expertise in advanced echocardiography (transthoracic and transoesophageal), CT coronary angiography (CTCA), and cardiac MRI, with a clinical focus on valvular and structural heart disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathies, cardio-oncology, and the non-invasive assessment of coronary artery disease. He also provides pre- and post-surgical imaging and stroke source assessment.
Dr Eather completed a Fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging at the Prince of Wales Hospital, gaining subspecialty training across multimodality cardiac imaging. With a background in biomedical science, he maintains an academic interest in emerging cardiac imaging technologies and the evolution of cardiology practice in regional Australia.
He is committed to collaborative, evidence-based, patient-centred care and prioritises timely communication with referring GPs to support continuity of management.
Outside of medicine, Dr Eather enjoys swimming and scuba diving along the Coffs Coast.
