With a longstanding interest in both rural General Surgery and Breast & Oncoplastic Surgery, she believes in the need to deliver holistic and sustainable surgical care to patients in their home communities and hopes to improve patient outcomes by delivering such quality care to the Coffs Harbour region.
Oncoplastic surgery combines the latest plastic surgery techniques following breast cancer surgery to facilitate reconstruction and better outcomes. When a large lumpectomy is required to remove breast cancer, this can leave the breast distorted; therefore, the remaining tissue is sculpted to restore a natural appearance to the breast shape. This is an important aspect of breast conserving surgery and also planning breast reconstruction.
Dr Salindera offers outpatient services with Coffs Harbour Breast Clinic, accepting both General Surgery and Breast surgery specific consultations.
