NSW Private Hospital Award
Baringa Private Hospital in Coffs Harbour has been voted the third best private hospital in New South Wales, according to a nationwide survey of patient satisfaction conducted by Medibank Private.
Baringa Private Hospital achieved an outstanding rating in the Medibank Private's Hospital Experience Survey, outscoring many larger city based hospitals for the prestigious prize.
Regional hospitals scored well in the survey with Armidale Private Hospital topping the state, Nowra Private Hospital came second and Baringa tied with Warners Bay in equal third place. All hospitals are owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care . The Survey shows private health system is catering well for the needs of patients outside of capital cities.
To obtain the result, Medibank Private analysed 22,668 responses in the largest and most authoritative survey of its type in Australia. The Survey covers every stage of the hospital experience, from pre-admission to discharge and follow-up, with respondents sharing their thoughts on everything from the standard of medical treatment provided to privacy levels, food quality and cleanliness.
